Hey guys new to jetting but not new to riding. Is there a better a jet or is it all preference?

I prefer Keihin brand jets (Keihin is the manufacture of the EX carb). I don't feel there is any reason to by a Dynojet jet kit--especially for a 99-04 carb. There are also a few manufactures of "copy-cat" Keihin jets (RD Precision is the most common). They're probably just fine but I just assume stick with Keihin.

I'll second that notion. Keihin is the only way to fly.

Keihin, it's easier to keep track of jet sizes and u don't have to worry about which jet is equal to what. keep it simple

Sometimes you can find 5-packs of Keihin mains--like this: LINK (http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/enthusiasts/catalog_item_detail.asp?catalog=776&levelcode=5994&product=61782&cattype=&ProductCategoryCode=) I believe those are factory Keihin jets--just packaged by DG.

If you've just got a pipe and filter/airbox mods then a 150-160 range would most likely be the right range...might not hurt to have a tad bigger on hand if you're ever going to be running around Glamis at night...

If you're near Mesa, than check out Custom Cycle-ATV. They've got a full range of mains and pilots. I'm sure there's other places too, I just know that place has always had what I needed.
