the max is 249cc, or.080. anything over would be pushing it.

you could go bigger if you got a custom sleeve.

edit: is your top end toast? if not, dont waste your $$$ boring it out. get a pipe, filter, rejet the carb, and if you need more performance, get a cam and/or port and polish the head.

Yes you can bore them out. I believe Powell (www.powroll.com) or Four Stroke Tech (www.fourstroketech.net) has one. IMO I wouldn't do it. Pipe, filter and jet it. Anything else I would sell it and buy something bigger.

He didn't bore out his 300ex. ;)

Now, you can say that to me, lol. I did spend waaaaaaaay too much money on my 300ex. lol.

But, speaking from my own experiances.. I would agree that boring out a 250ex (or a 300ex) is a waste of money. Boring out the 250ex would also require some modifications to the centrifugal clutch also, no?.

How are you telling like it is? We're helping him. If you don't like our advice then keep your mouth shut. Got it? I own both a 250ex and a 300ex. They aren't very powerfull at all. The 250ex isn't really a "racing" machine. Its a beginners quad. Ride it til you get skill. Then upgrade. With the money you would be putting in a 250ex to get close to the power of the 300ex you could buy a 400ex or a nice 300ex. IMO that isn't worth it.

damn right it ain't. I upgraded froma 250ex to a 300ex and I'm already tired of that. I need 450R power.
