My wifes 300ex handles a little better now that I adjust preload on the shocks. I was also looking to ditch the rear ballon tires.

They are 22 X 10 X 9's I was thinking more along the lines of some regular razr 20 X 11 X 9's...other than gearing what would be the problem with this? I just think the extra mass and having the mass farther from the hubs will reduce acceleration which is what the bike is severly lacking.

Thoughts?

I run 20x11x9's on my 300ex with stock gearing. It works great for trails and it improves the acceleration. You will lose about 5mph on the top end though. The wheels aren't any further from the hub. They are only an inch wider than stock.

You won't regret getting the 20" razr's. I put some on my 300, and i've been loving it ever since. They hook up great, and the whole quad handles MUCH better. I bumped up to a 14t front sprocket, and that evened out the gearing to stock, and i'm happy with the outcome. If you do get a 14t front sprocket though, you will have to grind just a smidge off of the case saver for clearance.

How much did you have to shave?
