You can see whats in my sig, for trail riding a lot of people like the RAZRII's

One of the most important things you'll want is a PRM Skid plate protector for the rear spocket,,, definately worth the money if your trail riding.

Thats a good looking ex. Whats the best kind of skid plate to buy?
Mine has a white brothers e series pipe and a k&n filter. I bought it last night and rode it for 5 hours straight. I need to get a skid plate for it though.

I've heard that if you take the top of the air filter box you get more power out of it. But are you subject to getting more debri inside it? Mine got the k&n filter but no prefilter. are those razors the best trail tire? Its got the stock tires on it now. Thanks, TYRELL

I used to run my R without the airbox lid and with the Outerwears prefilter.

Never had a problem.

I checked out the link for the skid plates, and they seem pretty expensive. Is it a good idea to get a better bumper. Does it really serve a purpose? That same company has a bumper for $69.

the bumper saves the quad from a wreck if u bump into sumpthing in the front. yes razrs or razr 2s are hte best trail tires i only have itps cuz thats what it came with. i need a rear skid plate too. if u take the airbox lid off i hope you dont ride in water or mud that will all get into ur airbox. i would also suggest the prefilter its worth the 10 bucks saves alot of dirt from getting into the filter.

def. get the pro armor skid. that's what i got. the day i got it i went riding and i bashed my bike on a rock. big rock. bent a-arm. not a scratch to my skid plate, and that took most of the impact. they r 1/4 inch thick and cost $120. get one

I plan on getting a swing arm skid plate, nerf bars, and a front bumper. Wont all that extra metal weigh me down alot?

http://www.prm-atv.com has a cool lookin front bumper for $69. Should i get a-arm protectors, and the belly skid plate? I want it to be protected I just dont want to make it any slower. thanks,

as a rule of thumb, 7lbs equals 1hp. if u lose 7lbs then u gain 1 hp, if u gain 7lbs u lose 1 hp. with all that stuff ur wanting u will prolly lose 3-4hp. also 1lb of unsprung weight is equivalent to 5lbs sprung weight. so if ur swingarm skid weighs in at 10lbs then that is the equivalent of putting 50lbs on ur seat. i don't know how true this is. it's just what i have been told by a couple of shops and a magazine. i did not notice a diff. in power after installing my skid plate, and that thing prolly weighs in at 12lbs

haha lol:D . no that is after a certain weight. not sure what it is. it also depends on the weight of the rider used to do the dyno test

my prm summit bumper, .190 belly plate, and .190 swingarm plate are probaly all together 10-12lbs. not a 3-4 hp loss, but the best protection out there IMO.

The only thing I do is trail riding. I got the mudsharks because in south FL is extermely wet and they handle the mud better than my brothers holeshots. Skid plates are next on my list.

Sorry for the bad pictures, I will take better ones later.

Here is my '04. I used to only ride trails but have switched to MX recently. My mods are in my signature. Next up are some new tires ... either ITP GNCC's or Kenda Klaws, can't decide.

Seems like when I go to Wayne the mud adds about 50# weight to the bike cause it sticks so well.
