I race xc and I want to upgrade shocks. I want some that I can adjust comp and rebound. I looked at elka and it about 1100 for some race shock series with the adjustments I want. What other companies are out the that will be more affordable. I hear that tcs can revalve front and back and make the shocks specific for my weight and for xc. O yeah I have and 05 yfz 450 and its just way to stiff.

Im still going to try and use my stock front end if I can because mine is holding up just fine so far. Im trying to upgrade without spending a ton of money. I race C class right now and Im probably going to move up a B next season.

There are a few places that can revalve your stockers...

C&D (Site Sponser)
Deresi (SP)
GT Thunder

As for aftermarket I think the Works shocks might be a little cheaper than Elka.

FWIW, My son runs the Pro class down here in Texas and does pretty good with triple rate Elka's with only pre load and compression (no rebound). We run a stock rear (revalved) with a houser linkage on a stock swinger.
