Gusset Areas

Where are the most crucial areas to put gussets on the 04 450r frame? Does anyone have a schematic drawing or pic showing them?

I sleeved and gusseted the upper frame rails on my old bike. It was barely starting to crack after two seasons of motocross before I fixed it. The areas in green I would recommend. The area in red I feel is un-needed. You also need to look around your upper steering stem mount and do some work up there. Just look around for any other cracked areas. Don't start placing random gussets though. Do a search for more pics. NOTICE! On the upper frame rail (or any frame rail), do NOT weld across or around the frame rail if you can avoid it. It will crack there. Try to always weld along the frame rail only and not around it!
