View Full Version : dodge dakota- what tire wheel combo?

Well im fixing to buy my dads old work truck, its an early 90's model, I beleive a 1991. I was just going to pick up some durango stock rims, and get some bigger tires to put on it. Whats the biggest I could go without rubbing? Also it has a V8 if that helps. I dont really know ANYTHING AT ALL about vehicles. I looked up tires on ebay and didn't know what the hell I was looking at. And also how do I know if the tires will fit on the 15" durango rims? thanx neil

the last number in a tire size dictates what size rim it fits. a 31x10.5x15 tire 31 inches tall, 10.5 wide, and fits a 15 inch rim. not sure what the biggest tire you can fit under there is. im thinking a 235 75 15. not positive on that. i had 2" blocks in the rear and the torsion bars cranked (plus one hell of a realignment :eek2: ) i easily fit 31's. never rubbed, even when offroading with it. hope this helps

no, he meant what he said...i have a 93 Dakota and have 235's

the stock size is 195 i believe...

Hey I have a 2001 dakota and i was wondering how do i crank my torsions bars i really wanna get it setting up higher any idea? sorry to steal the thread just really curious!!!
