I'm going at 3pm central time to get a 2002 400ex. This wil be my first performance quad. I'm a little nervous about gettin it. Should I be? I'd be paying $2300 for it. Its got a White Brothers E pipe. Its in good condition. I guess i'm just lookin for a few positive comments. Thanks, TYRELL

haha **** you got a better deal than me...i bought an 02' 400ex in 2004 for 3000$, but the guy had only ridden it twice and there was nothing done to it...so in my opinion u should be a happy camper!! :devil:

I guess i'm just lookin for a little reasurance. I just lost alot of money on a 01 Husqvarna CR125 and I'm a little nervous about buyin another toy. I've got some older bikes that I ride. I just hope that this Honda holds up to the credit that everyone gives it. I'm just a little nervous about buy it.

i noticed that you live out there where its really hot. do you ever have a problem with overheating? its 102 here in missouri.

113 degrees and i havent had one problem yet. the worst thing is that when i let it sit for 5 min. my plastics and seat are hotter than ****...but thats life in the heat! u wont have any problems!:p

For $2300 its a good price, look it over though,

Usually by lookin at it you can tell if its been ridden hard, see how well it runs thats a bigger indicator.

Also, just an FYI- I bought my 02, 400ex with a BURNT up piston cracked sleeve, I had a new piston sleeve and stage II cam put in and the engine ROCKS.

If you take care of a Honda it will take of you.

you wont be dissapointed i got my 02 400ex for 2700 bux.. jus look at the close things to see how much it was ridden like.....when i bought mine the lower a arms didnt even have a chip of paint off them so i new it was barely even ridden....

welp..... i paid for it at 4pm. I was riding it at 5pm. I just got done at 9pm. It is AWESOME. I love it. I got good service at Joplin Honda. I love it. Its an 02 with a white brothers pipe, and k&n filter. I love it. Thanks for all of you guy's help. I should have bought one along time ago.

You'll be extremely happy with your choice, but if you do get tired of it then theres a ton of mods that you can do for your liking.

I went from a curtis sparks to a white brothers pro-meg because the curtis is soo loud and honestly I can't tell the difference between the two power wise. I personally like white brothers, LRD and yoshi pipes.

white bros makes a good pipe, but there are better ones. yosh, hmf, sparks are all a bit better. the yosh is the only one thats better and can stay quiet. u can get a hotcams cam or a web cams cam or a bunch of others. hotcams and webcams are some of the best out there though
