Ok, when i am wrong I admit it. When I bought this mini adventure 50 a little over a month ago, I figured it would atleast last the summer. I was wrong, Ryan is ready for a larger bike.

Does anyone know what is the next step up? KTM 50 SR Pro?

He is already doing no footers, even if it is only 10 inches off the ground:D

I'd go right to a 65, he'll out grow the 50 Sr. as fast as he outgrew this one. How tall is he exactly? The 65's seat hieight is only 3 inches taller then the 50 Sr's.

Yep a 65 or an 80/85 would do the job...

a 65 would be fine, as long as its an auto clutch.....

no you are correct, i just checked ktm's tech

the 50sx, has a max seat height of 26 1/2 inches, so he would probably outgrow that quickly as someone else stated.

the 65 is a manual clutch, which i reckon he can learn, but the seat height is 29 +, about 3 inches taller then his inseam.

if he doesnt like the ride height, you can always shave the seat quite a bit to get it to his likings, im not sure for his size bike but ive seen some pegs that are highered or loewred for the size of the rider.

you also might be able to drop it a lil bit on the 65 we did it to my lil bros kx and it fits him perfect. meaning dropping the rear shock and move the forks up a lil bit.

my boss's son just went through what your son was. He went to the 65 and eventually learned the clutch. I was able to lower the bike for him to touch and it worked out great for him.

I believe Rekluse is currently testing out an auto clutch for the RM65.

He looks good on that, as long as hes tippy tow I don't think he'll have a problem with the power.

i dont know he may can handle the power but can he handle the bike and xr80 seems like it would be a bit heavy for him but they are good bikes i had one

Pappy why dont you get him like a tricked out 50 pitbike or a klx110 those are dont have clutches but he may get to liking the clutch so why not a pitbike
