Wont Start

I went through a puddle on the road the other day and my bike got soaked. We stopped a few minutes later and when we went to leave my bike wouldn't start. We had to jump started to get it going. When i push the start button, sometimes it makes a buzzing noise or nothing happens and the neutral light just goes out for a while. we tried to cross the starter relay and it does nothing. At first i thought it was th relay but since it wont cross over it got me lost. Any one know whats wrong with my 99 406EX?

did you check the battery? It could of got wet.

check your frame to battery ground

Thanks for the help! But I got it to start I, I dont know why it starts now but it went today for me so ill just drive it to it starts to act up again, or just stay out of the water. Thanks

You might have a loose connection on the battery.

badd conections, it happens on my other atv.

my ex did that when i would power wash somtimes. same thing buzzin with the neutral light..disconnect your battery dry the connections off and wipe them clean and itll fire right back up
