which 450 2006or 2007 or 04-05

i thought only the 06-07 hrc kit included the header but i may be wrong

and the header will be compatible with any slip on and only for the mod of your quad you cant get 04-05 pipes for the 2006-07 cause they moved the engine foward in the frame on the 06-07:D

i also know they come with jets, end cap for stock silencer, cam, and other stuff :D

DEFANTLY GET THE HRC KIT... it makes a big difference.. everyone that has had a 450 without it that got on mine say they can feel the difference.

i was able to ride one 450r with a HRC kit and one without one within a minute and the butt dyno was reading major HP increase. :D i love mine. it was the first thing i ever put in mine (infact i never even ran the bike untill after the kit was in). if anyone is ever thinking of buying a pipe insted of the HRC, get the HRC. you get way higher hp increase for the money.

This is the 04/05 kit:

The 06 kit is pretty much the same stuff plus a head pipe:

Basically, you get a cam, airbox mods, exhaust mods, and some jets. The big difference with the 06' is the header. Also, the 06' CDI has a wire that can be cut for extra revs (and I think some extra ign timing advance). The 04/05 airbox and lid is different than 06. I think the 06 lid has inserts that can be removed (looks like it anyway) or maybe they just want it removed altogether. That accounts for why the 06 kit doesn't include a new lid.

I wouldn't have a problem with having HRC parts in a 450r that I owned--there's something to be said for OEM parts--but you can easily match (and maybe surpass) the HRC kit's gains with aftermarket alternatives.

Whatever route you choose--the TRX definitely has a more aggressive tune within....Honda just dumbs it down a little in stock form. Do the HRC kit or choose parts and make your own kit.

w/the 06 kit, you remove the airbox lid (service manual states more frequent air filter maintenence) and remove the small resonator, and plug w/part from kit. The wire harness that comes w/kit supposedly changes ign curve, and raises redline 1000rpms. No wire cutting w/06 kit. The 06 really wakes up with the HRC kit

Cool. That clears up the airbox thing. And I was wondering what that little wiring harness plug was for....thanks.

No prob. That little wire harness just plugs inline on the ign box(?) under hood.
