engine, she sayed theres no oil getting to the 2nd cylender, i dont know anything about snowmobiles, i always thought u just mixed the gas and that was it, and if there was no oil getting to that side does the mean the cylender probly junk along with the piston and rod, from not getting any oil?

for the money your gonna put in a snowmobile thats 20 years old you can get an o.k. one thats 10-15 years old thats turn key for 500-700 which you will easily put into that thing. just my .o2

yea honestly imo that thing will be more trouble then its worth. the lady said the 2nd cylinder wasnt getting oil. im guessing there only one way to find that out so you would be putting more money into then its worth in the end. find a wrecked rev or something, now that would be sweet:D

itrs oil injected so theres prob a bad injector... that wouldnt be a problem to fix i really dont think that you're going to put $500-700 in that thing, around $250 tops. the injector cant be that expensive if you really need one... just try to clean up the one thats in there. if you dont take it, you're a dee dee dee

With that many miles you better rebuild it or at least check the compression because that's alot of miles!

For $50 I'd give it a shot . At the worst , you could take the track off and sell the track for $100 .

Like it was said before , the problem is most likely the oil injection system . Either something got pinched somewhere or it got clogged up . A piston will probably run you around $40-$50 ( piston , rings, wristpin and wristpin bearing) , Maybe have to bore or hone the cylinder .

The question you gotta ask , is how long has the sled been sitting since it locked up . Has it ever been fogged?? If no preventitive maintenance was done after the sled seized , you could be looking at more money for the bottom end .

Another suggestion , take a look at the clutch , make sure theres no cracks in both the primary and secondary . Having to replace a secondary will run you close to $400 .

Check all the idler wheels on the track . Make sure they are in good shape and that the bearings are good . Look at how much wear is on the sliders , then look at how much Carbide or runner is left .

Other than that , the sled doesn't look too bad . A sled of that year in good running condition would sell for about $500 . They're pretty quick little machines also .

The track looks like either a Kimpex or a Camoplast .
