best gear for dragging

What is the best gear to start it? I use first and it gets me off the line really fast but the people pass me up in like 30 feet. They ride 400ex too.

As for gearing it depends on how long the drag strip is. You want your quad top out right before the finish line. At least it work for my dad when he raced street bikes.
