Trade Z400 for 450R??

I have a 2005 Z400 with full WB e series exhaust, jetting is real nice,no airbox lid,k&N clamp on filter,13 tooth front sprocket..The quad runs great.
I am curious is the 450R that much stronger running than the Z?? I have never ridden a 450R, I went from a Cannondale to the Z..
Would it be worth doing cams and carb, or just go 450? If the 450R would be beating the Z400 by a bike length in a 300' drag,
I would say it is not worth the money.

Please give your honest opinions.

I had a z and now a 450r and there is no comparison. Aside from reverse the 450r smokes the z hands down. Dont hesitate a much better bike!

I have a couple of friends that ride z's and it is not close when we get on the gas.

My brothers Z has a 434cc 12:1 piston, Hotcams, LRD exhaust, Dyna Ignition, DRZ gaskets, ESR intake and a 450R carb and it'll run with my 450R with the mods in my signature. It's a whole new bike from when it was just piped and filtered.

i have raced a stroker z470 with a stock 450r and would pull on it in the straight aways. The z's have nothin on the 450r.
