I'm just wondering if Custom Axis ever had a big bottle rear shock in there production lineup... I'm currently in the process of purchasing a custom yfz that has a lot of one off parts, and it has a big bottle rear rezzie...

Just wondering if anyone else has seen these??

Thanks, JAY

Not true, big bottles must be asked for atleast for a Honda anyways. You mean like these?

Like a dream, best shocks I've ridden to date. Although I do like the Evols quite a bit.

weird because the bottles are so big? holds more oil, cooler shock, performs better. i would rather my shocks look weird and perform great than them look normal(normal size rezzies) and have less performance. looks don't matter AT ALL, it's all performance.

Yep that is what it looks like. I was just wondering if they were special, cuz my custom axis rear on my 450r has a shorter one. Thanks guys, JAY

Yea usually the 450R rear shock comes with a smaller one, but I had them put the larger can. But it is hard to mount an 8" resi there lol. No extra cost, just have to ask for them.

Yea I bet it's tough to get that larger ressie to fit anywhere, but it sure looks cool.. The yfz that i'm getting this week has Custom Axis Ti-Piggys like you have up front and the large rezzie dual rate fully adj in the rear. They are both prototype shocks from custom axis. I will post a pic once i get it in my shop..

Definitely man, I'd be anxious to see it! Is the rear Ti also?

No it is a steel rear, but the Ti spring should be on order soon.. ~JAY

I disagree. More oil=more friction=more heat. These big bottles may have more Nitrogen to keep the oil cooler. I have experience with the Axis small ressies, but not the big cans. But we do run PEP big cans. The advantage with those is the range of adjustment is much better then the 20 click. But one shock doesnt out perform the other one by any means. Just offers more adjustability.

Whats the point of a rezzie?
