Will a 450r rear shock fit a 400ex? I installed my 450r shocks on the front which helped 10 fold. However, it made me realize how horrible my rear shock is.

I think my rear may be on its last leg because it doesn't take to much to bottom it out anymore.

Was thinking about trying to get a 450r shock for the rear. I know it supposedly doesn't help over a stock rear shock but I think it may help mine since its obviously worn out.

I'd like to send my shock off t o have it revalved but I don't want to have my quad down for that long.

Yes it does fit but it lowers the seat high about 1-2 inches because the shock was shorter than the 400's is.

yes it will fit but you have to grind a littl bit off the shock mount. I got mine off ebay for $65 shiped

Not sure if I want to lower the seat any. May help handling alittle bit tho.

I may try to find another stock 400ex shock and have it rebuilt/revalved. Mine must be on its way out.

i wouldn't hesitate lowering the ride height if it was me. i don't know if it is a direct bolt on or not but the ride height i wouldn't let bother you.

Sideways...did you try modding it? I had to modify my front shocks to fit.
