newby question on blaster

Ok I have been riding my blaster for awhile and my 400ex, When I ride I was either wearing tennis shoes or work boots. But since my son started racing and I was thinkning about it, I bought us both regular motocross boots. Now shifting has become very difficult for me. Is this normal? Is it like relearning all over again? I just cant get under the gear shift as easy as I used to and it seems like the shifter got smaller. Any suggestions? Can you buy an aftermarket shifter that sticks out further than the stock one or is this problem all in my head?

lol, you need too adjust the shifter up a little.I had too do the same thing.

you know that makes perfect sense now, just loosen it and move it up a little right?? Thanks, sometimes the simplest solution is the hardest to come up with.
