Ok, so I removed my choke from the carb. and now my bike is running way too rich. It ran a little lean before I took off the choke and I had a 170-main in it. Since I removed the choke, I had to go down to like a 130 just to make it run. It starts and runs wide open ok now, but I won't even idle. Is there anyone who removed there choke with any advise?

if any change in mixture you will go lean not rich.

try to mess with you mixture screw with the 170. if that doesnt work go up to 175.

Out of curiosity, what is the advantage of removing the choke?

Slightly better airflow through the carb. If you want to eek out the last little bit of performance from the stock carb, then removing the choke certainly doesn't hurt. I took mine out and was satisfied enough with the results that I'd do it again.

Did you block off the hole whenever you removed the choke? If not you have a terrible vacuum leak right now. That is why its running so bad.

I did block off the hole, but maybe I didn't tighten the hose clamp enough? I'll try tomm. and see if that changes anything.
