I got a 440 with all the goodies listed below. I like the power it gives but you will always want more! :devil When I go to the dunes I notice that the sand really sucks the power. If you can afford it I would suggest a stroker kit. That is what I am going to do this fall. :D But to make the 440 run you need an aftermarket carb, head work, etc. I have my stock rod in mine and have no problems with it. When I do the stroker it will be replaced.

Question for oynot400. What do you do to cool your motor? I am also considering a 440 kit for my 2001 400ex but I am concerned about cooling. I here that the pingry oil tank helps. What do you think?

A larger oil tank is a good idea, I have not gotten one yet. There are some secondary oil cooler out there that will help also. Personnally I have done nothing to mine except a set of Tinner air scoops and I use Energy Release oil additive. I try to change my oil often, at least once a month. More if I am riding harder. ;)
Let me know if you need anything else.....

FCR 39mm, from what I have been told here lately. By Mike at For Dirt Only, get the 41 mm. Either one will work great though.
