ive been reading trough these forumns and i noticed almost all of you guys bore you engine to 440s or w/e. is there really ne point for a person like me to do so.i go trail riding mostly and i like to play in pits alot but i think its a little bit stupid to do all that to a motor unless your gonna mx race it

bigger bore makes more torque, more torque is better for trails.

I wouldn't go that way unless it needed to be rebored out. But I just rebored mine to a 406, when it gives i'll go 416, then 426 and so on.

I wouldnt bother to bore it just for the hell of it. I did mine because i blew the rings out. So that is why mine got bored. It did create more torque, and is pretty good also. But when I bored mine, that is when I also added the pipe, filter, and jets.

yupp, i would not bore it out unless it needs it or you plan to race. in fact, when mine needs a new piston i am not gonna go 440 but rather go back down to like a 406.

I do mostly woods, tight slow stuff to, and hill climbs

and i got a 440 o.0

just put an 11:1 piston in it and a cam, also add a cdi. the lowend power is awsome.

total cast for my build was around $300. you dont have to run race gas, no modifications to make anything stonger, and just the pure pleasure of mashing the gas to get the frontend up.
