If you havent already put in a #42 pilot jet id suggest doing that to cure the starting problem. Now if your really serious about making it run cooler you can use a Full synthetic 20w50 oil, and hook up a larger oil cooler and tank. Some will say airscoops but i dont really think they make a difference, more of a cosmetic thing.

that wut i was planing on doin was the oil tank or a second oil cooler but somone told me to ceramic coat the header but does that only make it cool faster

Ceramic coating the header will make it keep a lot of the heat inside the pipe so iguess it would keep some of the heat away from the engine.

Jet Hot coat the header.

its 85 dollars for a 400ex header, and i think 25 for the can.

You know, if you're going to modify your cooler...Get a large transmission cooler, this will cool it much better.

the current oil coolers on these things are a joke.

also improve scavenging of the cylinder/s. Keeping the heat in the header allows the exhaust speed to remain high.

anyone here ever monitor oil pressure before and after larger/additional coolers?
