400ex Loud Tick

Ok guys i got a real loud tick in the top part of my motor. I replaced my valve seals,i got is all back together and now when it runs i have a loud tick i have adjusted the valves and i am getting ready to go back and check to make sure I got it right. Is there any way that you might be able to put the decompresser plunger in backwards? I am trying to get it fixed for the QZ/exriders ride this upcomming weekend on H/M.I was hoping to have it fixed by monday.if anyone has any info to help me it would be greately appreciated.

Is this TICK only when you let off the throttle? When you rev the motor up it still sounds fine?

The tick was there all the time.I know what happened now, for some reason my decompresser stuck and it was holding my right exahust valve slightly open. I got it fix thanks for the reply though.
