If u look at my sig. u can already see what I have done to my 400. Well, my rings are screwed, and I was wantin to go to a 426 when they r replaced.

How much of a difference is a 426 than 416?

What other motor mods could I do when I go to a 426 that would give me more power? I was thinkin head work. I would appreciate in feedback that I could get.

If the only chang eyou made was to the next larger bore size, you wouldnt notice any real increase in power. The mods for a 416 and 426 make pretty much the same power. Better flowing head, more carburation, a lightened flywheel, more agressive cam and possibly more compression will take you to the next levels in power.

Seems like everyone is using a 450r carb these days

somewhere around 12-1 or lower

You have your flywheel lightened, many of the top name companies can do this for you

The best money spent will be in having the head ported correctly and chossing the right cam
