Whats the best way to straighten a bent frame? I dont know if its even possible its kinda bent in a bad place, right behind the back lower a-arm mount:mad: Is it possible to just throw a guesset in and hope it doesnt get worse or should i just not worry about it? Any suggestions?

Bent mine same place. Buying a new one. Not much else you can do. Price on a new one is nuts.

My opinion is that frame needs a gussett there as I barely hit a tree and it bent the frame. They have a brace on the top part, but it's not enough.

I could not believe it bent as hard as I hit that tree. I've hit them a lot hard and nothing bent. I guess I caught it just right.

Thats kinda what i was thinkin.I think ill just ride it as is for now and just hope it doesnt get worse. I hit trees alot to but this time it was another 450r.I was coming down a hill climb and he didnt know I was up there,My bike stalled out trying to turn it around to come down and he thought i went somwhere else so he come up.I hit the top of the hill to come down in 2nd gear as he was coming up in 3rd.No time to stop. Smack... over the bars I went:mad:

We straightend ours at my dads body shop with a frame machine. It pulled it right out, and we haven't had any more problems with it. We didnt even gusset it

you can also try dirt works motorsports in willow springs, mo. 417-469-DIRT. they do gncc pro duane johnson's frames. and thier work is awesome. can pretty much fix anything then they'll gusset, sandblast and powdercoat it and send it back. after that you'll never have to worry about it again. its worth every penny.

pist a pic of where its bent to give us a better idea of how bad it is. if its not to bad it could prolyl be fixed in most cases.

Im a body shop mgr, and like Shawn Hess said, you can probably have your frame repaired at a body shop (w/frame pulling equip) I would expect to pay 3-4 hrs of labor. Cheaper than a new frame for sure

Oh no doubt I'm sure it would be alot less than a new frame ($1500 for new) but like I said I need cash to do that.I'll get her straight some day,But for now it'll work.
