if you want something just to crank on and never ride then get a project bike but if not id deffinetly go for something that needs minor things such as plastics and such. unless you really feel like doing all that wrenchin and crankin and then finally have the outcome of a 1991 125 its not going to be any fun.rather take the extra money and time. and start of at one thing. the frame and build up from there if you cant find a roller project.build something more up to date like a 250f or a 450f. something you can race. jmo but seriously ihate wrenchin on my 125. ive been ridin it for 4 months now and i want something bigger/better and raceworthy.its going to end up being a money pit and your gonna sell it half way down the line. JM2cents

I agree, however I'm looking for something to do when I'm not working and such. I love working on motors and I want a bike. So I was thinking why not buy a project bike, spend half of my paychecks on the bike and save the rest for a truck. I have very very very little experience on a dirtbike so I don't really want something to big. I'm about 5' 11" and 190 pounds so a 80 or 85 is too small and a 250 is to big so I would go half way and get a 125. I've heard they are very very fast and race worthy. I also want to race the bike when I get my skills up. I wouldn't buy a older project, probably 98 and up. I'm really tight on money also, so I can't just go out and buy a bike, (I have the mone, but then I wouldn't have a truck by next year). So you see what I mean?

No offense, but I would have to say that a 125 is too small for you..weighing 190 on a 125 insnt going to cut it..I understand that you dont have any skills yet on the bike, but you will outgrow the power of the 125 very fast..Just my thoughts..:D

im pretty damn big on the bike and it gets me from here to there. a 125 will be more than enough for your first bike. Im 60 lbs heavier than you so you should deffinetly be fine.

Very surprised to hear a 125 will carry you around so good..I weigh about 175 and I wouldnt even consider a 125 because I have rode a few and they just didnt have the power I thought they should have..I mostly see guys like 130-160#'s tops on 125's.. anyone heavier than that should be on a 250..Well Like I said it was just my thoughts and if you want a 125 then go for it..Good luck..:D

Are you calling me fat?!:p

I want a two stoke bike because I love two strokes. The 250 would be to much for me. Plus I have no luck with four strokes.:ermm: :chinese:
