hey guys i'm new to the 450R def not new to quads but i wanted to know some basic crap i guess. do they have tranny problems? mine seams to not want to go into gear all the time.

my main question is i am looking into stretching out the quad and i was looking at some kind of a-arms where i can get away with using stock shocks...i ride tracks but home built ones nothing too serious and a lot of pits and stuff. what i would like is either a +2 or +3 arms and i will get a g-force rear axle and and try to keep the stock shocks all the way around is this a fesable thought or do i just need to get new shocks front and back? thanks guys also any stupid general maintance or just insight on the quad would be appreciated.

Burgard a arms=$400
G force axle=$200

You can use your stock shocks but it will be a little soft.

Burgard +2+1 aarms. Geforce axle. I ran with just that for about 6months. Then I sent my stock shocks to derisi racing to be setup for the new arms and my weight/riding style.

Heres a few pic's

My only advice to you is to change the oil regularly. At the least you should change the tranny oil often. Its less than a quart so its not alot of money. The reason is at least the engine side has a filter, so it can go a bit longer in my opinion. I change my oil in both sides after every ride. A bit anal I know but to me its worth it..
