one of the bolts that you have to loosen to tighten the chain is really hard to loosen. It is harder than the other ones. I think that the threads might be crossed. What should I do if thats the problem and what do you guys think is the matter with it.

when that happens to me i unbolt the really long bar on our car jack. slip that over the end of the socket wrench and bam, broken lose in an instant. just find somthing to slip over the wrench your trying to use so you get more leverage.

Will I break anything? It feels like I will. I think they are cross threaded. How can I fix it? Can I fix on my own or should I take it somewere else to get fixed? And when i was loosening it I heard a loud knocking sound, whats that?

if they are cross threaded they are broken ne ways and possibly to carrier or swing arm. it would be hard to cross thread them, they are just tight thats all turn them and find out

I had the same problem. I used an air impact and it came right off. I tried an electric impact first, but it wasn't strong enough. Be careful with a breaking bar as the ratchet handle could break, then break you. Air is the way to go.
