my clutch plates are getting pretty worn out , im gettign the plates form the repair guy down the road but id liek to be able to do them my self jsut to save moeny and maybe to learn some more about the bike.. i wanna know how hard this is to change the plates and what all is involved also it woudl be ncie if any one has seen a like step by step tuitotial about changing them .. but any help is appreciated thanks

It is really easy. I just recently did mine.

First you remove all the bolts around the clutch cover and oil line lines. Once your remove the cover you remove the 5 bolts holding the plates and everything in.

Just make sure you install the new plates/clutches/springs in the same order they were in before.

Its cake.

They may also recomend that you soak the new clutch plates in oil a few hour before you install them. Its easy and a service manual help out a ton and only costs about 20 bucks, I would reomend getting one of those its got step by step directions and pictures of it. Good Luck

Yeah make sure you soak the clutches in oil before you put them in. I think it has something to do with starting the bike up with them dry you could ruin them. That's how it was explained to me.

alright so ive decided im goign to do them my self , well or atleast attempt to lol.. about soaking them do i jsut use the motor oil im using or what? also i have one of those online manuals so ill check and c if that has the step yb step in it..

Just soak them in the oil that you put in your atv and you should be good too go.

I soaked mine in 10w-40 motorcycle oil.

The install is very easy. If you are mechanically inclined I honestly don't think you will need a manual.
