well... what you do is take the stock width, which we'll call X...

and then you add 2 for one side, and two for the other, in other words 2*2 or 4...

and then to figure out the total, you take 4 and add it to X....

X+4= new width :D

sorry man... you'd have to look up the stock specs...

Ah, so 2 + 2 = 4

got it

No, I want ta know if +2 arms with stock rims are going to give me 50 inches or 48 inches. I thought it should be 50, but I've been told otherwise.

But thanks for the math lesson:D

Well,

46.3+4= 50.3

46.3 inches is the width of a 06 model though. Not sure if its the same as a 05. But you get the idea.

they only make your a-arm longer not the quad. the a arm is on an angle so you would have to do a little trig to figure out exactly what it is going to be. it will be close to 4in wider but not entirely

46.3" is the width of the rear end.. the front end on stock quads is sually 1-2" narrower for some odd reason.

some places make +2.5 arms so +2 are not going to make it too wide to race. also now a days most of the products you see are ok to race. the compainies wont make a product that cant be raced because then no one would buy it.

I have +2's on both my 416ex and my 450r.
my lonestars on my ex made it sit at 48+ a bit.
the burgards on my R make it sit at 49

now for the rear.

my ex is at 49 or so with my razr mx's and my lonestar 2+2 axle
my R has a +3 g-force with razr 1's and it sits right at 50 inches

My next front end on my R will be +2.5 per side
then i'll be at 50 front and back
