300ex Clutch Help!!

Hi,this is my first time posting here...I took my 300EX side case off to do the clutch and got everything out when a piece fell out and I have no idea where it goes!! It looks like a very large rivet,perhaps it's an oil passage tappet? Anyway,I have no idea where it fell from and hopefully someone here knows what it is and where it belongs.

I don't have a service book to go by,anyone here have any technical suggestions & hints on the best way to go about this clutch removal & installation..
