do a search, there is several methods to do it, i found that hammering does nothing except beat the snot out of the spindle itself.

Take your castle nut and turn it upside down and put it ack on the balljoint untill its flush with the end of the bolt. Hit the nut with a hammer untill it seperates.

Take your castle nut and turn it upside down, then place a deep socket that fits completely over the oposite balljoint nut. Then I have a half inch piece of flat stock I place on the socket, then I unscrew the nut that I turned upside down till it pushes that balljoint free. Then turn the deep socket over, as well as the other crown nut. Then place halfinch stock back between the socket and crown nut then unscrew that one.

Done nice and simple with no added damage from beating it with a hammer. Takes me 15 minutes per side to remove any honda arms and and spindles.

if you don't have 1/2" flat stock laying around, 2 quarters stacked on top of each other work also in a jam when at the track.....I know

Eveyone has there own way. I have shown a few guys my method and they all use it now. Its quick and easy. It wont rip any boots or break anything else.
