This winter I plan on installing dual a arms on Austin's Kasea.I know Hetrick's sells a dual a arm kit for Kaseas, does anyone else?I am just looking to compare some different kits. Also if you have a dual a arm setup installed on your Kasea feel free to voice your opinion on it here.........good or bad. Thanks!

I don't know of anyothers that are Kasea specific like Hetricks, but should be able put spacers in yours to make the Predator, E-ton, DRR, etc arms fit.

I don't know if there for a Kasea but you might want to check out Robbsracing. I just found out they make an XC version for Honda's. I hear nothing but great words about his products. I'm gonna give him a call. I know Pappy really liked his products from Rob.

Talk to several people who have the duals and get their opinions on them. I have had several people comment on how the dual arms available for the kasea are spaced too close to each other and aren't worth spending the cash on. Two friends we race with have the Hetrick duals and after many broken heims and a loss of suspension travel they like our setup better. I believe Kenny at K-Fab has a new anti-vibe setup that is just as/if not more effective at eliminating bump steer than the dual arm setup and costs a 1/3 of what the duals run.

That is one thing I noticed about the Hetrick's set is how close they are together.I might just get a new set of single arms and run the longer shocks.I'll check out Kfab's set up.I have dealt with Kenny in the past with great results.

I just got off the phone with Kenny. He is building me a set of long travel single a-arms for it.Now I am trying to decide on a rear set up.

LIVIN4REAL...what are you guys running in the rear on your's?

wvspeedfreak

Here is what I am going with for now.

We run long travel Elka's all around. A +2 Jon Andersen swingarm and 13" Elka with reb and comp adj and rezzie on the rear.
Just make sure you buy the swingarm and shock from the same person so they are designed to work with one another. Elka has a shock design specifically for Jon's swingarms that he had them do. If you need info just let me know, I'm sure Kenny can help you on the rear as well.

MadSea862....that is one awesome looking Kasea.I really like that dual a arm setup.Do you mind me asking who made them?
I think for now the long travel single a arms I am getting from K-FAB will be a nice improvement.Plus it was a little more affordable right now.

I have had K-FAB make me some things in the past and was very pleased with them and he seems to be very honest and up front with you about his products.
We are from Wardensville in the eastern panhandle.Summersville is about 3 hours south of us.I know a few people from down there though.

Now that's the way to do a set of duals! Looks great Brake! How long are the shocks?

Also have you had any problems with your belts by not running the filter in the cover?

Does anyone know of any other companies that buid long travel single a arms for mini's?I have been trying to contact Kenny at K-Fab for 2 weeks and can't get a hold of him  I really hope i can get in touch with him because my Elkas for this a arm set up have been here for over a week. However,I'd like to find someone else that builds them in case I can't get in touch with Kenny soon.

I had this same issue with Kfab. His stuff is so sweet, but impossible to get a call back:ermm:

Kenny built my +4 a-arms for Chase and I started working with him from then on. Anything he builds will be awsome... it's just that he seems to be put out with building stuff for people that want to give him money. He doesn't need to try and sell his stuff, it sells itself if he would just build it. That is the total reason I started building my own suspension stuff. I got spoiled by getting his and now I can't get it, and I don't want anybody elses stuff.

Yeh I think you'll see that alot more in the coming months as the demand grows and the availability thins. You'll see alot more people branching off with their own set up. Kind of why we did what we did. Wasn't really anything on the market so to speak that fit our rider so we had to come up with somthing that did. As long as the CVT market insists on not stepping up in the suspension department people are going to have to rely on what's readily available or come up with something of their own.

Well,I finally got ahold of Kenny on the phone today. He has my a arms built and they are shipping tomorrow.I am glad I finally touched bases with him.I did talk to several other people today and one in particular was willing to get me out of a bind if these a arms didn't come through.

Thats good to hear.Kenny does build some nice stuff.By the way.....in that pic that I posted of your quad,is the steering stabilizer mounted up that way or is it just sitting there.I am trying to figure out a way to mount ours now that we have the shock rezzies on the bumper tubes.

Yes it is mounted that way. If you look close you can see the tab going down to the frame. We have a Kasea that Kenny built many years ago for Peak Racing and it is done the same way.

wvspeedfreak

That's pretty cool.I'm finding out that when you start putting all this stuff on these minis you have to get creative with mounting things.

Ok he just got done riding it and I'm thinking the shocks may be a little soft :ermm:

wvspeedfreak
08-20-2006, 02:29 PM
Upon further inspection it seems to be more of an issue with the left front shock. It is noticably softer than the right one.It acts like it's not fully charged or something.
