View Full Version : wont start in gear any more

i put on a parking brake block off plate and bought an ew clutch perch.. the only prob i have with it now is the no starting in gear i kinda miss.. there were to ires going into the origional cluctch perch what can i do to these 2 wires to make it so it will start in gear again if anything? thanks

Cut the connector off the end by the clutch lever and connect the two wires together.

I just did the same thing to mine. Take the two wires and cut the little connectors off then splice them together. Electrical tape them back up and your money.

Best off to solder the wires together if possible. If not you can use a butt connector, but it's bulky and takes up more space.

Put heat shrink aroung the wire and soder it. A butt slice isn;t real reliable, and tape can let in water and corrode the wires.

i was oging to duct tape it but sounds like i shouldnt now... will i need any pecial sodder to do this my dad and me work on circuit boar type things where we are soddering so if that sodder will work alls i shoudld o is sodder it and then tape around it jsut incase an then to hook it some wheres?

o my now everyone is turning into electicians..... just heat shrink it and tape it up :)

Butt connector, wire nut, tape, heat spring tubing, solder ect ect will all work fine.

I used a butt connector on mine then taped it up. Works like a charm. But I will probably solder it in the future.
