or not.. rotts or yellow labs dont hit 100 too much.. try 75 or 80 for most..

tell ya what you try to pick either one of them up...85lbs i can lift, this rotti i cant come close, now i might be off by some.......i wont deny that sounds high and i might be off, but these are not your average big dogs.....these are BIG dogs the lab you might be able to lift with serious effort, and stands about 3' to the top of its head

k i can be a little more specific too, this is a farm dog that lives out side in a barn, they poor they're grease from cooking on her food, her dish is a BIG bag of food cut open and folded back, she gets all the table scraps and chases donky's all day........now that said the yellow lab i am wrong about, he's about 110ish i guess, had to check but stands about 3' to the top of his head still.

and actually Wreck is a sheppard/rotti mix and judging by his paws and his looks now i dont expect him to get much bigger, but i'm glad cause at his size he's already broken 2 200lb test, cables we use to tie him out side, and gone threw 4 collars, he breaks them off at the clasp.

Acording to the akc bread standard rotti's grow from 90lbs to 110lbs and labs 60lbs to 80lbs. Now I had a rotti years ago that was huge and yes slightly over wieght he was not the biggest I had ever seen but dam close he wieghed 125lbs. So either your dogs are cross with something bigger or your scales are f'ed up.

180# is almost unheard of for a rottie. I have 2 of them, one is 10 years and the other is just under 18 months. Veg (pronounced vague) has weighed between 110 & 115# his whole life, and mook is around 110 #.
Vegs father was a 150# dog and was enormous, he wieghed 170 #when he died, and they removed 16# of tumor from him.
Here is a pic. of mook...

His mother was a show dog and his father is a schutzhund 2 dog (german dog training). Here is a pic. of both Veg and Mook...

A guy up near our cottage used to have a Lab/German sheppard mix . The dog weighed in at 185 lbs .... Biggest dog I've seen so far .

A girl I know has a chocolate lab that weighs in at over 150 lbs ... once again , anothe r BIG dog .

My chocolate is a little over 6 months old now , and he weighs around 60 lbs . The only reason he doesn't weigh more right now , is because we have him on a medicated dog food to allow his bones to grow and strengthen before he puts too heavy . At 3 months old , he weighed around 45lbs .

We're expecting him to top the scales at around 120 when he's full grown ( and off the medicated food) . Both his parents topped the scales at over 100 lbs . 110 for the mother , 120 for the father .

Here's Hunter ... he loves to sit and expose himself . He usually sits with both hind legs spread apart and stretched out .

HAHAHA.

Hunter does the same . He doesn't try and hump anything , he just sits in the backyard and let's himself be " free" . I usually walk outside and tell him to " Put it away" .....he usually puts his head down as though he's ashamed that I caught him .

After paying $700 for him because he's a purebred , I'm having a hard time making a decision as to wether or not I want to have his balls cut off . I could make some money off him . LOL

LMAO .

Poor dog ... he's got that look on his face that just screams " Get that F'ing camera away from me , it's bad enough you just had my nuts cut " .

I'm just worried that if I have Hunters balls cut , it's going to change his behaviour . He's mellow enough as it is , having his testies cut would probably melow him out even more ... and that meens he'd sleep for 23 hours a day instead of his usual 22 hours . Never seen such a lazy dog .... he loves to sleep . :ermm:

well the bad thing is they dont cut off the nut sack ne more, they take the testatoron out the sack haha so basically there is just an empty sack haha

my dog was done at like 2 0r 3 months old and i can promise you one thing.....didnt slow him down a bit, i got him right after it was done he's an SPCA dog and was 3 mos. when we picked him up and i tell ya what, the little f'er doesnt stop, hew might sleep 4 hours other than that you can hear him either chewin on his bone or he's up and then lays down....then gets up and wakes you up cause he lonely, then lays back down......he's got the trick of coming over and sitting on you while your laying down to a tee, almost as good as they hey look at me while i drop my bone on your head routine.

I got a question for all you guys that have dogs that shed their hair a lot ..... How in the hell do you make it stop ????

I honestly brush Hunter 2 or 3 times per day and he's still loosing his hair like crazy . It's gotten to the point where I have to sweep or pass the vaccuum twice a day . :grr:

mine isnt all the bad a guess, its just course little black hair everywhere i dont like but i have seen alot worse for shedding, but i think JJs450r is right more oily foods will reduce shedding i think. wreck shed's when he gets mad, he's got the whole i'm pissed off so every hair on my neck is going to stand up to let you know cat thing going on, and after that he tends to lose a bit in that area

I've also heard of another thing that works ... it's called Aswift Kickto Thenuts . Fairly cheap and works wonders !!!!

I'll look into maybe getting him soemthing for his shedding . I've lived with dogs that shed , but this guy sheds 24/7 and it's ALL over the house !!!!!

to calm him down all i have to say is "IN" and he runs to his kennel and sit there till i say its ok to come out. but well on these topics what have you guys done to keep your dogs from running at other dogs or barking at other dogs......i mena i cna yell, smack him, hold his mouth closed, and just about anything and he'll keep right on barkin. but its only dogs nothing else seems to fire him up

I do the same with mine . I tell him to go into his kennel and he goes . He knows he has to sleep in it at night , so when I let him out before bed , when he comes in he goes straight to his kennel .

As far as barking , I've never had an issue with mine , but I've read that when a dog starts to bark , grab one of their ears and pinch it a bit . Soon enough the dog will link barking to a pinch on the ear and will stop . If not , buy a barking collar and a lot of batteries . LOL
