View Full Version : Triple Rates VS. Quad Rates

I have Elka Triple rates on my 330, and I'm just wonderin...what am I missing? Is it a huge difference from Quad Rates?

The quadrates just have the zps spring in it. It makes it sit a little lower. I dont think it is that big of a differance though.

Shouldn't be a big difference between quad and triple. If I'm not mistaken, quad rates are only found on long-travel setups where the shock is physically longer - room for another spring.

yep, you pretty much have to go to long travel to get a quad rate shock. the forth spring is just basicly to make the shock sag so the quad isnt up so high because the shock is longer.
