my 450r carb is not getting fuel and it wont start i dont know where to begin i can go to the local honda place and get them to look at it or can do by my self any with answeres on how to cean my carb out to see what is stopp ing it from getting gas please help.

do you have gas in the tank check the petcock to c if it is clogged

take off the bowl, take out jets, clean with carb clean and even compressed air.. if that doesnt work.. make sure your gas is ON, lol, petcock plugged, fuel line pinched?

If you disassemble your carburator, check the needle valve set and determine if the needle valve is moving freely. I just recently had engine starting problems and this was the cause of my carburetor failure. If you plan to do this yourself, without any prior experience, I would strongly suggest acquiring a good manual.

still doesnt start changed spark plug w/ new plug took carb completely apart and sprayed out with air hose taped off wires any other suggestions?

just figured out that fuel is comming out of over flow tube when i turned a screw next to the idle screw thingbut still wont crank what could this mean anyone?:confused:

does it try to fire if you pump the throttle?, could be a clogged pilot, their so small just spraying it out while its in the carb isnt good enough you have to take it out and get real good and make sure you see light through it?

thats what i did im thinking that was my problem.
