What is so good about removing the choke from the carb?

if you pull the choke and put in the 42 main will that change jetting for pipes and motor mods?

I did that to my stock carb before i switched to the 450's carb and it was very snappy.

so would you get the same benifits removing the choke from a 450r carb??? im gonna put a 450r carb on my 400 should i take the choke off before i put it on???

The choke in the 450 carb doesn't have a butterfly like the stock 400 does so theres no advantage of it.
