Well i was out in the trails messing around on my 300 and i found this in the woods, i towed it home, got it running for 5 minutes, then it died, so i took it to the shop and started project TRX70:D It should be alot of fun

Its an 86, the side case had this huge crack in it, i filled it in with JB weld and hopefully that will solve that problem

It also needs a Gasket here, when i took it off it crumbled to pieces, as did the air filter

Here is the main problem, the nuetral indicator isnt in the hole its suppost to be in, and that is also where its leaking oil from, idk if thats fixable by welding a peice of metal over it so it doesnt leak or if i should get a new indicator which im sure is expensive so i hope not

i highly doubt it is stolen, and it has been out there for 2-3 weeks and the cops ride threw the woods often so if it was, the cops would have taken it, and if i do find out its stolen i will find the owner and give it back

Even if the owner did come after all that time, they couldn't do anything. They would never be able to recongnize it. Just scratch out the VIN number if you get that worried.

I'm not saying this to be unhonest, but lets say the owner is an @$$hole and waits until you are done, then tells you he wants it back even after he knew he didn't think he would ever take it back.

That's what I would do. And I would keep it low profile that you "found" it.

I've seen a few sweet 70's, definately keep us updated! Good luck.

Also you could always go to the DMV or where ever and get the vin # run and find out who owns it and see if they'll just put the title in your name...

I have a 1987 that looks brand new up in my attic. I should have grand kids in 15 years or so. Hopefully they can enjoy it like my daughters did.

my dad bought a suskie 70 dirt bike from my nieghbor for 200 because he thought it was broken but it wasnt all it needed was a new filter and that area cleaned out. then we sold it later for like 600 or somthing like that.
