Not sure if anyone from on here was there yesterday, but wow. What a weird day...
I went with 2 of my buddies who race Quad C. (if you were there, they were #19 and #25)
Well, it was pretty much disaster from the start.
They sent Quad A and Quad B out the moto before, and let them have a staggered start (drop gate for A, wait for B riders to pull up, then drop gate for B).
Then, the next moto was Quad C, and Quad Youth Production 13-15.
Well, for whatever reason, they decided to not have a staggered start for these 2 classes. If they would have, I doubt the problem would have ever occured.
Well, coming out of the first corner, a Cannondale and my buddy on his LTR were out front, followed by my buddy on his 450r, and behind him was a 250r, a couple more 450rs, and a few 250xs.
The 250r bumped my buddies 450r and turned him sideways, and he flipped, which pretty much caused a chain reaction that involved the 250r flipping, one of the 250xs break a balljoint and flip...about 4 or 5 quads were involved...it was just weird...and crazy...
My buddy was fine, as was the kid on the 250x. I think the kid on the 250r went to the hospital with a broken collarbone....the damage done to my buddies quad...steering stem broken in half, front bumper push up to his frame, bent bars, cracked hood, bent fender mount, and some scuffed and messed up plastic.
The main thing he was pissed about was that he didn't get his full 35 bucks worth of racing! lol...so we took off the broke stem, and actually, one of the B riders had 2 extra ones. We bought one, put it on, zip tied some stuff, and we were good to go...haha...he raced the 2nd moto and actually got 4th...
So a weird day atleast.
Here is a pic of the wreck occuring...
