Has anyone performed the service on the valves which I was told should be done on the first service?
I spoke my dealer and they have not done one yet, they telling me that its going to run me about $200.00, just for the valves since I've already change my oil.
Is this service necessary or is there anything I should be listening for from the motor?

if you hear somethine from the motor then its too late. i got my valves adjusted last week for my first service and they needed it, but they werent off by much. and to adjust the valves its usually 3 hours labor so it isn't exactly 'cheap'

To save some $$$ you could remove, all the plastics, tank, shield, and tubing that's in the way, so all they have to do is go in and make the adjustments.

I just had mine checked and they were fine after four months of riding.
