Dumb question: is the Yosh cherry bomb only for the LTR? Can it be plugged in to a stock 400 ignition? I'm also considering a dynatek cdi box...can it be plugged in there?

The CB only works with the LTR. A dynatek CDI would replace the stock CDI on your 400.

I should add that unless you already have a bunch of mods on your EX (and I'm guessing you don't ;) ), there's much better things to spend money than on a Dynatek CDI. IMO, they're kinda pricey considering the benefit you'd likely see.

I always had good luck with the White Brothers Rev Box's. I had one on my EX and it was amazing what it did too broadin out the powerband. Or you can get an SRP rev box from magic racing for like 40 bucks. The web site is www.magicracing.com

The CB is for the EFI on the LTR. It opens up the race map for that system. It will not work with any other quad on the market due to being an EFI aftermarket part.
