base gasket

Hi all,
I just got back from pismo. my stupid bike blew 2 cylinder base gaskets. I have never had this problem . Does anyone know why this is happening. I just rebuilt the top end and it all started. Can the cylinder be warped from my lack of a torque wrench?

torque them to specs and maybe it will seal.
