TRX vs CRF in 1/4 mile

Just thought I would let you know my findings at the drags . Pavement 1/4 mile these are my times .

I am 170 ponds with boots and helmet on.
Both bike bone stock except I put 15 tooth on CRF for more top speed.CRF is an 03,TRX is an 06.

1/8 time 8.4 speed 83 miles 1/4 time 13.2 speed 96.18 on CRF
1/8 time 9.4 speed 69.16miles 1/4 time 15.4 speed 75.26 on TRX

Any way that was my fun on sat and today went to the local track so it was a fun weakend. Just thought you guys would like that info.:D :D

PS Both bikes run perfect.:D

wow, Since the new 06TRX is basically a crf- I wonder what czrider263's new monster DRG 06 build will pull in the 1/4? guess we'll see soon (shameless plug) doh

I did have ITP mudlights on the rear of my TRX they are heavy. I might have run alittle faster (time)with the stock tires. HRC kit and slipon next year and then we see what see will do. :D :D

my 04 hrc 450r with stock tires ran 1/8 in 8.36 @ 72 and 1/4 in 14.6 @ 79 i ran out of gear way before the end of the track though

we clocked my buddies 04 at 82mph when stock with a radar gun, but that wasn't in a quarter mile, we let him get too 5th gear and let him run through with it pinned and it hit 82mph and their was no wind that day so no tail wind helped him and it was flat not down hill.

The gearing and maximum RPM of the engine physically will not allow that, but nice try.

EXACTLY! I can only hit 85mph on my HIGHLY modded Z400.

mine would do 79.xx in the 1/4 bouncing the rev limiter im sure it could reach 82 somehow.. im pretty sure the dragstrip doesn't lie i made plenty of passes

ill video tape it for u if you want, but he added an HMF and filter but is dumb and don't rejet and a rev box.

weight of the rider plays a part though too and he only wieghed 150 at the time

i don't know how you did this,because i race at a 1/8mile drag strip all the time and i can't get 8.3 with 14.1/hot-cam-2/dasa-pipe/

so how are you getting 8.3 with just the hrc kit?

or did you mean 9.3

there was 5 trx's at the track lastnight 2-06....all had full pipes...none ran under 9.0

and i beat all,including a banshee,and ds650 on oxy fuel.

Are you all running these at an actual 1/4 mile drag strip on tar? I wonder if the dragstrip in my town would allow that? They let sleds run. don't recall seeing atv's or dirtbikes,though.
