No, the only problems that you encounter on a 400EX are 95% operator error. And son you need to learn to spell!

was it an aftermarket swingarm in the first place? because you chain and sprocket could have been out of alignment, just a guess

no it was the stock swing arm. I dont know i just took a sharp turn heard alot of cruching and i saw that there was metal shaving and the chain tensior deal was shredded to peices...? also is that part of the rear carrier for the bearings iam not that familar with quads...

Do you have a Service Manual?? If not, I HIGHLY suggest you get one .
We all have to start somewhere and learn, but it sucks getting there sometimes!:ermm:

it sounds to me like your bearings went out and busted your carrier.its called preventive maintence.

It sounds like your going to need to buy a new bearring carrier, i'd go on ebay and buy a rad bearring carrier thats what i did and it was pretty cheap and it works good.

Yes, its your carrier bearing. I had to replace mine a few months ago. It happened almost the exact same way.

Pivot works are great! I would buy a manual and read the Matinence part. It tells you how many hours and what to check and how to check it. Also how to replace stuff. That is the only way to learn and your 400 will be very reliable:D
