Z400 shocks???

Anyone know if Z400 and 250R/EX400 front shocks are interchangable?
Reason i ask is i have a 04 Z400 and a 86 250R. The 250R has works tripple rates with rezzies and the Z400 has the stockers. I did bolt up the works shocks on the Z,but after a short ride something didnt seem quite right. Handled kinda strage. Appear to be same length,and handled like a dream on my 250R...hmmm...any ideas?

yes they will bolt up, but the 250r is much much lighter than a z400. they are valved really soft for a z400.

I guess i didnt think of that..makes sense though. Ive already decided to put the works shocks back on the 250R anyhow...thank you
