2 major things to check.

1. pops on decel
2. White sparkplug

Now the big question is what is causing the lean condition. First check all the boots for air leaks. Sometimes you can't see them so you can spray some carb cleaner around the areas where the boot clamps on and if the idle changes you have an air leak that could be causing it to run lean.

Just a couple of things to check.

I'm just being cautious about running lean now after reading the past threads about it. I only have a Mod Quad K & N air kit with lid off, cb, and the sparky out. From what i've been told, i should be ok. I plan on putting the Yoshi full pipe and Pim on very soon. Today at the beach, there's a possibilty that my bike was popping a hair, if it was , it was very little noticble.

Slight popping on decel is fine. When it gets excessive then a lean slow circuit is usually to blame.

From what I've seen the CB does a very good job of getting the fueling right with the sparky out and lid off. With a different exhaust I'm not sure.

93lx,

When I had the CB on, Full Yosh Exhaust (SA out) , Lid Off & my K&N air filter, it popped a little on the decel. It was running a bit on the lean side with all of the mods I had done. Now, once I installed the Yosh PIM module, it cleared all of it up, and it runs very very strong and broad.

Good luck...
