400ex chewing alot of oil

in the last 2 rides on my 400ex i have had to top the oil up every time dose that mean time for a rebuild or wat.

is it smoking? if so might be time for a rebuild.. do you see any leaks at all? how much oil are you adding at each time..

if you're experiencing smoke, yes. if its leaking, no. check for cracks.

rings, cracked cylinder/head or leaky gasket.. those are your options, lol.

worn valve guides will burn oil as well.if it is burning oil then rebuild it.if its leaking get it sealed up

it is also possible that you just need to use a higher quality oil. it may not hurt to switch to a heavier weight either.
