I have a 300ex with an 11:1 compression 60 over piston and hmf exhaust.

I am running 14/36 gearing but i am changing to 13/37 or 13/38 and want to know what size paddles and how many paddles per tire i should use. i want good hill climbing and carving ability. thanks for the help

ITP Sand Stars are good ones. Also, Kenda Geckos, or just go with some haulers.

Get the straight paddle tire. Eight paddle hauler in the 20"

SandStars are good [which I've tried], but the STR8 Haulers are better for your bike and the riding you've described.

You'll find that the STR8 paddles carve good too

I would think a 20" 6 paddle Skat Trak glider would probably work good for you. This tire is geared towards smaller 4 stroke quads. Seems like an 8 paddle Hauler would be too much for a 300, but I have no experience to back it up.

whats the difference in performance on a 8 paddle and 10 paddle?

you've gotta be kidding me... an 8 paddle hauler is way too much for a 300ex...

if youre gunna go skat track, i wouldnt go anything over 6 paddles...

and personally, if i was you, i would just get sand sharks... the sharks are a great economical tire and acutally preform pretty well... i like sand stars the best myself, but for a 300ex i would go with the sharks...

depends on the bike you have and if it has enough power to spin 'em... could benefit or hiner depending on the circumstances...

for your bike, 6 or 7 paddle glider would be the best decision. 8 paddles are the largest you want to go with a 20" tire size, if you wanna go 10 paddles, you should go up to a 22" tire because, with a 20" tire, there is not enough space between the paddles for the paddle to take a full dig and they will actually hook up less than an 8 paddle. you pretty much don't need more than 8 paddles on any bike unless you are dragging.

I ran some 8 paddle 20in kenda trakkers with 10in rims and i think it was too much paddle. I would get some 20in skat trak gliders or skat trak edge with 8in rims and 6 paddles.
