Today I am going to look at a YFZ450. It's got tons of sweet mods, both for going fast andd looking good.

The only thing is that it has a lowering kit on both the front and back. The current owner used it for drag racing. I want to use it for trails and light MX (just playing on a practice track).

Is getting the heigh back to stock just a matter of switching the shocks back to the stock position or is it more involved? This is a sweet ride with lots of good mods and perfect except for the lowering kit.

If it has stock shocks...yes. All you have to do is move them back to their original position...as long as he didn't do any valve work to make them stiffer, etc.

I picked up the quad tonight. Basically getting the ride height back to stock is just a matter of moving the shocks back to their stock positions and that's it. The previous owner didn't do anything to the shocks because when she drag raced it they ran a different shock up front anyway.
