chain and carb

Ok here we go...

First time ripping apart my quad, it's a good time. I've gotten to the carb and the sucker is loose. If I wanna take it all the way off to clean it out how do i get the throttle cable off? or what parts do I take off to be able to soak the carb?

Next one..the white snorkel thing. should i put it back on? seems useless...

Then the chain. How do I find the masterlink? Am i blind? anyone got a pic? I need to take it off to clean...its pretty bad....
